Laser Hair Removal at Undo Clinic

If you suffer from unwanted hair growth or ingrown hairs, laser hair removal is the solution for you.

During a laser treatment with the Gentle Max Pro, laser beams are introduced into the skin. These are absorbed by the pigmented hair follicles. Due to the heat generated in the hair follicles, the hairs and hair follicles in the active growth phase are destroyed. Two to three weeks after the treatment the destroyed hairs will fall out, these hairs will not grow back and the result will be visible.

From 6-8 weeks (face) and 8-10 weeks (body) a repeat treatment can take place. The hairs that have not (yet) been destroyed and are now in the active growth phase will then be destroyed.

This depends on the amount of hair growth, thickness of the hair, color of the hair, hormones, location, skin type, individual response to treatment, medical background and cooperation with regard to the pre- and after-care instructions. The average number of treatments required is between 4-6 treatments. However, this varies per person. We offer a tailor-made treatment to treat you in the safest and most effective way. We explain the above factors during a free intake.

Unfortunately, it is often claimed that laser hair removal can destroy hair growth 100%, but this percentage is between 85-90%. The laser destroys the hair in the active growth phase, there will be a small percentage of hair follicles that are inactive during the treatment, so they cannot be destroyed. If you are additionally insured, it is sometimes possible to get reimbursed for the costs of laser hair removal in the face. Unfortunately, the costs for laser hair removal on the body are not reimbursed. Contact your health insurance company for more information.

The Gentle Max Pro is the laser that can safely and effectively remove hair from dark skin. The Gentle Max Pro has a 2-in-1 laser system where all skin types can be treated safely and effectively without damaging the skin.

We recommend avoiding direct sunlight (and sunbeds) on the skin for 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after the treatment. In addition, we advise to use SPF50 daily for the face and to wear a cap/hat.

We do not treat during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding. During this period, the hormone balance has changed, as a result of which the treatment can be unpredictable.

Unfortunately, laser hair removal is not suitable for gray and blonde hair. The light from the laser must be absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, with gray and blonde hair there is no pigment present in the hair follicle.

The area to be treated should be shaved 24 hours prior to treatment. Waxing or epilating the hair is not allowed during the treatment period. The hair follicle must be present during the treatment. Bleaching the hair is also not allowed during the treatment period. The melanin in the hair follicle should be present during the treatment.
